The Raptus Trailer MUSIC

Image
Part of my USP is the odd choice in music. The music is symbolic of the blend between fantasy and horror, by having music that combines the two genres: Horror: Electronic Darkwave Fantasy: Progressive Rock All the music is created by me, to avoid copyright and to emphasize that this is my movie and no one else. The music will fit the levels of insanity that this film contains and will help to pump up the audience and get them excited for it. This will hopefully make the film stick out and become more memorable. https://soundcloud.com/user-95807666/cutting-the-cliff https://soundcloud.com/user-95807666/losing-his-sanity https://soundcloud.com/user-95807666/monsters-on-the-lakeside Music I listened to in deciding for this choice of music included many horror soundtracks like Halloween, Saw and A Nightmare on Elm Street. FILMS THAT INSPIRED THE RAPTUS

Films that have helped inspire The Raptus: The Exorcist: Parts of the raptus that were inspired by the exorcist were the psychological scares, the multiple characters and grounding the supernatural in reality, making it more believable and terrifying. The gothic look is something else about the film that I like.  The concept of demons are another influence, and the implications of it being more a mental concern than a religious one. The Machinist: Influences from the machinist was the main character in general. The idea of a likable and sympathetic character, whom by the end is revealed to have done terrible things, leading the audience to question whether or not they should follow this character. The imaginary friend Ivan is a big influence for the legion, especially Foureyes, who wears steamnpunk goggles reminiscent of the factory setting in the machinist. Se7en: The mystery story is a huge staple of thriller and se7en was a favourite of mine, not only is th...

THE RAPTUS PLOT: JUDE, AN EX COP WHO HAS BEEN RELEASED FROM JAIL AFTER AN UNKNOWN CRIME HE COMMITED. HE RETURNS HOME AND IS TRYING TO GET ON WITH HIS LIFE, LISTENING TO THE MUSIC HE WOULD MAKE, WATCHING THE FILMS HE WOULD MAKE. HE IS OFFERED HELP FROM HIS KIND OLD NEIGHBOUR, BUT HE IGNORES HIM THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE MOVIE.  UNTIL HE STARTS GETTING HARRASSED BY A GANG WHO CALL THEMSELVES THE LEGION. BASIC LETTERS, BECOME PEOPLE WATCHING HIM ON THE STREET (THOUGH WE ARE UNSURE IF THEY’RE MEMBERS OF THE LEGION OR INNOCENT BISTANDERS WHO KNOW ABOUT THE CRIME HE COMMITED), EVENTUALLY PEOPLE START MAKING PHONE CALLS, THEN SUDDENLY HE GETS VISITED BY A MAN IN A TERRIFYING MASK (RAPTUS). HE SAYS HE DOESN’T WANT TO KILL HIM AS HE PERSONALLY WANTS HIM TO LEARN A LESSON. IT INFLUENCES HIS SUBCONSCIOUS TO THE POINT THAT HE HAS TERRIFYING HALLUCINAGENIC NIGHTMARES ABOUT THE MAN.
