The Raptus Trailer MUSIC

Part of my USP is the odd choice in music. The music is symbolic of the blend between fantasy and horror, by having music that combines the two genres:

Horror: Electronic Darkwave

Fantasy: Progressive Rock

All the music is created by me, to avoid copyright and to emphasize that this is my movie and no one else. The music will fit the levels of insanity that this film contains and will help to pump up the audience and get them excited for it. This will hopefully make the film stick out and become more memorable.

Music I listened to in deciding for this choice of music included many horror soundtracks like Halloween, Saw and A Nightmare on Elm Street. I also returned to personal music I like such as Genesis, Pink Floyd and Brian Eno. The inclusion of music inspired by artists I like will give the film more of an identity and help to make it stand out.

COLOUR: The colours are mostly dull greys/blacks in order to contrast the image of the colourful Captain America dressed in red, white and blue. It’s also there to connote the seriousness of the film they’re advertising, which is a lot more serious and gritty than the first Captain America. Evaluation Task 4 - How Did You Use New Media Technologies in the Construction, Research, Planning and Evaluation Stages

CAMERA & TRIPOD: I used a camera and tripod to film my trailer, I shot my trailer over the course of three days, which you can find in these vlog links where I document my production as I film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdcZ8SHnwD0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV3mXf7LMyg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_v8lYiaCQ8c The camera and tripod were essential to the construction of the trailer as a lot of the footage in both the trailer itself and the vlogs helped the backbone of other projects like the magazine and other projects for other courses I'm doing. In these vlogs, the use of the camera is examplified and the lack of the tripod in one of the vlogs shows how lost I'd be without this equipment.
